Thank You!
We Were Thinking About You During the Holidays...
As 2012 was winding down and Steve and I were finalizing our plans for the 2013 season, our discussions always circled back to our customers. We feel however, and so does our staff, that the folks that walk through our store doors and those that invite us into their yards are far more than just customers -- you are all people with stories, dreams, hopes, with whom we strive to build long-term, meaningful relationships. Okay so that may sound really cheesy, but it is true.
This March Steve and I will celebrate 10 years as owners of our installation company; our retail store will have been open 9 years this summer. So many of our current customers have been with us from the beginning. Or in many cases even before that when Steve was an employee of someone else. We know them, have watched their children or grandchildren grow up and have celebrated with them as they got married, had their first child, got a new job, got their kids through college, paid off their mortgages. We have mourned with so many of them when they lost a family member. And each year we are fortunate enough to have new people invite us to share in their lives. We feel truly blessed to be a part of so many of your lives.
Maybe we are able to develop those relationships because our water features become such a significant part of our lives. I know personally that if I have a bad day, a few minutes sitting and watching our pond can make me forget about troubles, stress, and whatever is getting under my skin. Even though I am immersed (excuse the pun) in water features five days a week, I appreciate my pond at home so much. I spend a little time looking at it everyday, whether outside or at my kitchen table looking through the window.
I'm not going to lie to you... owning a small business, especially a seasonal business can be a challenge. But because of the relationships we are able to develop and the appreciation we feel when we have helped a water feature owner with an issue or by installing a new water feature we wouldn't give it up for anything! We are truly blessed to be able to know you and serve you. We look forward to a new year, a new season and many new adventures together.
We all hope 2013 is a truly great year for you and your family. Thank you for an awesome 2012.
