Planning for Spring

There's No Better Way to Get Rid of the Winter Blues...Get Ready for Spring!

The dreary days of winter can sometimes get us down. A great way to get through it however, is to start planning your outdoor spring projects. Whether you just need to tidy things up a bit, need an entire backyard makeover, or somewhere in between now is the time to make a plan of action. Here are some ideas:

Just Tidying Up:
  • Water feature cleaning
  • Trimming back perennials that were left over the winter
  • Re-mulching of planting beds -- Pick up some hardwood fines mulch at Cool Ponds!
  • Patio Cleaning and Sealing -- We can clean it and seal it for you.
Fix Ups:
  • Add a new filter, waterfall or creek to your water feature
  • Replacing plants
  • Finding an alternative to grass to avoid drought issues and be better to the earth
New Backyard Projects**:
  • A new water feature
  • Remodeling an existing water feature
  • New patio or walkway
  • Adding a fire pit or outdoor fireplace
  • Installing landscape or underwater lighting
  • Creating a new native plant or pollinator garden
**Cool Ponds can do all of these projects for you, by the way! Contact us today to meet with our project manager.

Sometimes you just need a starting point. Is there something in your yard that draws your attention, good or bad? For fix-up projects, pick the project that you feel needs the most attention. If it's not in your budget this year to fix it, can you at least get a start on it? Do some research, get an estimate, wander the Cool Ponds Display Gardens for inspiration? Sometimes overwhelming projects can seem more manageable when broken down into smaller, less daunting pieces.

Our goal is make sure you have the knowledge you need to get your water feature projects done.

The countdown to spring is on..... Let us know if we can take care of those projects for you!
